Accessibility Statement

We want everyone to be able to read about the club, apply for membership and verify a member.

Our commitment

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA across this website, including the application form and member dashboard.

What we have done

  • Semantic headings and landmarks so screen readers can navigate the page structure.
  • Keyboard access to every link, button, form field and dialog.
  • Text and interface colours chosen for contrast in both light and dark appearance.
  • Text alternatives for meaningful images; decorative images are hidden from assistive tech.
  • Layouts that reflow on small screens and at high zoom without loss of content.

Known limitations

  • The animated hero background is decorative; it respects the operating system’s reduced-motion setting where the browser reports it.
  • Uploaded documents such as membership letters are provided as PDFs; if you need a different format, ask us and we will supply one.

Reporting a problem

If you find something you cannot use, tell us through the Contact page and describe the page and what happened. We aim to respond within 5 working days and to fix confirmed issues promptly. If you are not satisfied with our response you can contact the Equality Advisory and Support Service.

Alternative ways to apply

If the online application form is not usable for you, contact the club and we will take your application another way.
