Membership Terms & Conditions

These terms form the agreement between you and Masters Club International once your membership is activated. By submitting an application you confirm that you have read and accept them.

1. Definitions

“Club” means Masters Club International. “Member” means a person whose application has been approved, whose fee has been verified, and whose membership has been activated. “Committee” means the membership committee responsible for reviewing applications.

2. Eligibility

• Applicants must be able to teach a skill, learn a skill, or support those who do.
• Applicants under 18 apply under the Student / Youth category and require parental or guardian consent.
• Corporate membership is held by the organisation; nominated representatives may change with written notice to the club.
• Honorary membership is offered by invitation of the committee only.

3. Application and review

Applications are submitted through the website. The committee reviews each application and may approve it, request further information, place the applicant in a different category from the one requested, or decline it. Applying does not guarantee acceptance, and the committee is not obliged to give detailed reasons for a decline.

4. Fees and payment

• Fees are payable by bank transfer to the club’s account. The club does not accept cash and does not take card payments through this website.
• The transfer reference supplied to you must be quoted so the payment can be matched to your application.
• Bank charges levied by the sending bank are the applicant’s responsibility.
• Fees are reviewed annually and any change is announced before it takes effect. A change does not affect a membership period already paid for.

5. Activation and membership number

Membership begins only when the committee has verified the payment and activated the record. On activation the club issues a unique membership number, a valid-through date and a downloadable membership letter. Nothing said before activation creates membership rights.

6. Membership term and renewal

Membership runs for the period stated on your membership letter. A reminder is sent before the valid-through date. If the renewal fee is not received by that date the membership moves to Expired, the membership number stops verifying as active, and access to member-only benefits ends until the membership is renewed.

7. Member benefits

Benefits include participation in workshops, mentoring and events, access to the member network, and a verifiable digital membership record. Benefits may change over time; the club will not reduce a core benefit during a paid period without notice and a reasonable alternative.

8. Member obligations

• Give accurate information in the application and keep contact details up to date.
• Be honest about your skill level and never present club membership as a professional qualification, licence or accreditation.
• Treat other members, mentors, learners and staff with respect at all times.
• Do not use the club’s name, logo or membership number in a misleading way.
• Do not use the member network for unsolicited marketing or data harvesting.

9. Membership status and public verification

Every membership has a status of Active, Expired, Suspended or Cancelled. Anyone holding a membership number can look it up and see the member’s name, category, status and valid-through date. No other personal information is disclosed.

10. Suspension and cancellation

The club may suspend or cancel a membership where a member has given false information, breached these terms or the Code of Conduct, or acted in a way that damages the club or endangers others. The member is told the reason in writing and may appeal in writing within 21 days; the appeal is decided by committee members who were not involved in the original decision. Fees are not refunded where membership is cancelled for a breach.

11. Resignation

A member may resign at any time by writing to the club. The membership is closed at the end of the current period and no partial refund is due, except as set out in the Refund Policy.

12. Liability

Workshops, mentoring and events are offered in good faith by volunteers and members. The club is not liable for advice given by an individual member, and nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

13. Intellectual property

Materials shared in club workshops remain the property of their author. Members may use them for their own learning but may not resell or republish them without permission.

14. Changes and governing law

The club may amend these terms; material changes are notified to members by email and take effect from the date stated. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
